I recently found some Day-Timer® computer paper that fits in their Organizer notebooks at a thrift store and decided to do some experimentation. Too bad I threw out my organizer years ago. Oh, well.
There are two types that I found. Product #29000, which is 8.5 x 11 and has perforations for two pages. The pages are 3-3/4″ x 6-3/4″ and they fit in the portable organizer. There are 100 sheets, so you can make 200 pages. The other is Product #29010 for the Desk Organizer. There are two sheets on this one, as well, so you can print out 200 labels. Plus you can print the same on the back or use the back for different purposes. With a little experimentation, I figured out how to set up WordPerfect 12.0 to work with these products.
First I’ll show you the measurements that I came up with for Product #29000. Go to Format—>Labels. Select Create. Give your label a name. I gave it Day-Timer 29000. Seems pretty logical.
For width I used 3.75″ and for height 6.75″. Set for 2 columns and 1 row. For the Top Edge, 0.282″, Left Edge: 0.156″. Space between labels is 0 for column and rows. The label margins I set at: Left, 0.375″, Right: 0.375″ (Which balances them out politically very nicely), Top: 0.250″ and Bottom: 0.250″.
Click on OK and you can now design the pages for your portable organizer. These pages have six holes.
Okay, now on to Product #29010. These sheets could probably be set up for a portrait printout like the others, but they are designed for desktop use. You can print on the reverse side by simply flipping the paper over and printing again. You can design your pages so the front and the back contain the same information or different information. Hey, it’s up to you. I’m just telling you the settings that I used to make the paper work.
Again, click on Format—>Labels and select Create. Are we sensing a pattern here? Again, select a name and, again, I chose Day-Timer 29010. It just seems to work. You can name yours Bob if you want.
Now for the settings. Label size is 8.5″ wide and 5.5″ high. This time, 1 column and 2 rows. Top and Left edge are still 0 as is the space between labels section. The label margins are Left: 0.313, Right 0.313, Top 0.500 and Right 0.250.
So, now, why did I go through all of this? Well, if you have WordPerfect 12.0 and Product #29000 or Product #29010, then you can now set up WordPerfect to print out schedules that fit your needs. Perhaps you can find the paper cheap and do the same thing. The point is that if we can get organized, perhaps, together, we can stop the ugly specter of Communism from rising on our shores. We can stop Obama and his “crew” and send them packing back to the Chinese or Russians or whoever they work for. We can stop the Republicans from carrying on their fascist agenda and end the Federal Reserve Board. Perhaps, together, we can return ourselves to the Constitutional Republic that our founding fathers dreamed of.
I’m just trying to make the world a better place by making the United States the place it was.
