H.R. 675: Dem’s learning that fascism can be fun!

In my article on yard sales, I started with a humorous scenario of a fascist society gone wild. I might not have been that far off if Democratic Representative from California’s 51st district—Bob Filner—has his way. He has submitted H.R. 675. The legislation would give authority for the Secretary of Defense to authorize police officers, criminal investigators and even game law enforcement officers of the Department of Defense to execute warrants anywhere and carry firearms to do it. They would, further, be authorized to arrest if they see a crime committed.

Persons who are familiar with the Constitution can recognize immediately that this is in violation of the Tenth Amendment.

The bill has no co-sponsors, as of this writing. Sheila Jackson Lee, apparently, hasn’t read it.
