The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that 32% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-nine percent (39%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -7.
His Presidential Approval Rating ended at -7, today, up from -8 yesterday. 32% of those polled strongly approve of Obama’s performance while 39% strongly disapprove. He is down four points from his Presidential Approval Index of -3 on the 19th.
A majority of Americans believe that General Motors will ask for more bailout cash, but only 16% approve of any such move even if it means keeping the company afloat.
Opposition to health care is at an all time low of 55% with 42% supporting the plan. That is down from 44% a week ago. The Joe Wilson outburst gave Obama temporary support for the Socialist agenda item, but sympathy seems to be waning. Joe Wilson’s personal poll numbers continue to rise.
Seventy-four percent (74%) of Democrats now support the plan while 80% of Republicans are opposed. Among those not affiliated with either major party, 67% are opposed. In addition 48% of Americans polled want abortion coverage stricken from the plan.
