Hypocrisy ‘unchained’: Foxx blames Hollywood ‘violence’ for Connecticut shooting

Only weeks after gleefully announcing “how great” it was to “kill all the white people” – while promoting the movie, “Django Unchained,” during his opening monologue as host of Saturday Night LiveCBS News reported Monday that “actor Jamie Foxx said he believes Hollywood violence prompts tragedies like the one that unfolded on Friday in Newtown.”

“We cannot turn back and say that violence in films or anything that we do doesn’t have a sort of influence. It does.”

The hypocrisy is disturbing.

Equally unsettling, Foxx’s co-star Kerry Washington said the film’s “violence” – primarily focused on a former slave’s enthusiastic mission to kill white men as a means of revenge — serves to educate audiences about the atrocities of slavery.
